A small studio with a long memory.
Mage Communications has been practising marketing, SEO and web for serious brands since 2005 — long enough to have learned search before it was fashionable, and small enough that the founder still answers the phone. We take on a handful of clients and give each one the whole of our attention.

The story
Conjured with craft, never out of a box.
Rebekah Wortman founded Mage Communications in 2005 with a simple, slightly contrarian conviction: that the best marketing isn’t mass-produced. While the rest of the industry was busy templating, automating and packaging clients into tiers, she built a practice that did the opposite — one that begins with your business, your market and your audience, and works outward from there.
More than fifteen years of integrated communications and search experience sit behind every engagement. We learned SEO before it had a name, watched the search engines rewrite their own rules a dozen times over, and stayed precisely because the craft kept getting more interesting. That long view is the point: we’re not chasing the trend of the quarter — we’re building presence that compounds.
The work is deliberately one-to-one. You won’t be handed to a rotating cast of account managers, and you won’t get a campaign recycled from someone else’s playbook. We stay small so we can stay close — and we only take on clients we believe we can genuinely move. When we say never cookie-cutter, we mean it as a promise, not a slogan.
Boutique by design
We stay small on purpose. You work directly with the people doing the work — no account-manager telephone game, no handing your brand to a junior team the moment the contract is signed.
One-to-one, never cookie-cutter
Every engagement is built for the business it serves. We don’t reach for a template or recycle last quarter’s campaign — the strategy is drawn for you, around your audience, your market and your goals.
Grounded in data, finished by hand
Marketing and SEO come first, and the numbers lead. But the craft matters too — the copy, the design, the search result — and that part we finish by hand, the way it was meant to be made.
Meet the Mage
The people behind the work.
No subcontracted strangers — just the practitioners who do the thinking, the building and the writing themselves.
Rebekah Wortman
SEO, SEM, Web Development & Client Strategy
Rebekah Wortman has delivered effective integrated communications, search engine optimization, online advertising and internet marketing strategies to clients in multiple industries for more than 15 years.
After launching her career in corporate communications, Wortman directed her natural skillset of incisive thinking, intelligent research and strong writing to public affairs and advocacy. She worked closely with state lobbyists and legislators on key issues, including statewide tort reform, sustainable development and economic growth for the City of Atlanta. Her growing interest in emerging media and communications channels led Wortman to cultivate an in-depth understanding of the inherent power of combining traditional communications best practices with emerging media channels.
Learning the art of search engine optimization before it became a fad, Wortman has spent years analyzing the logic and methodology behind the major search engines, their ranking methods and their ancillary services, including Analytics, Pay-Per-Click Advertising and more. Founding Mage Communications, LLC in 2005, Wortman currently provides Internet marketing consulting, search engine strategy and web development services to numerous clients nationwide. In addition, she develops compelling content for media publication and marketing materials.
Wortman holds a BA in Political Science and Mass Communications from the University of Georgia. She currently resides in Loganville with her husband and two children. She provides pro bono support communications and marketing support to multiple non-profit organizations.

Bring us something worth doing properly.
We take on a small number of clients at a time. If you’re serious about the work, the first conversation is free — and always with a person, not a pitch.
